At People’s Church of God we encourage our members to become sons and daughters of the ministry and become active in serving God in a meaningful way.
Praise and Worship Team
The PCOG Praise and Worship team is on fire for God. This department consists of individuals that are committed to giving off their time and talent for the glory of our Heavenly Father. The team has and continues to grow, under the leadership of a spiritual son of PCOG.
People’s Hands of Grace
The People’s Hands of Grace department strives to give back to our community. Throughout the year, the Hands of Grace team embarks on different initiatives to uplift those in need within Chatsworth and surrounding areas. If you are interested in connecting with this department or want to be involved in the work that they are doing, we would love to hear from you!
Sunday School Department
The PCOG Sunday School Department is focused on bringing up our young kids in the ways of the Lord. The aim is to provide children with a spiritual foundation that will remain in their hearts and minds for the rest of their lives. The teachers, under the careful leadership of their superintendent, deliver a syllabus each year, consisting of 7 different Biblical stories. Classes range from toddlers, all the way to Grade 9.
Youth Department
The PCOG Youth Department (known as the Peoples Youth Movement or PYM) has grown over the past few years into a thriving ministry. PYM focusses on preparing the youth (ages 12 to 20+) for young adulthood. The youth committee leads this ministry, dealing not only with Biblical teachings, but how to apply these concepts to everyday life. We are aware of the pressures and decisions that our youth are faced with daily, and we hope that this ministry would aid them in living their lives according to God’s will and purposes. Youth meetings are filled with fun, games, worship and the Word of God. We invite all youth to attend – don’t miss out on what God is doing!
Ladies Department
The PCOG Ladies Department meets weekly. It is a way for our ladies to get closer to God, whilst also building strong relationships with each other. PCOG wants to empower women to live the lives they are meant to lead as prayer warriors for Christ. If you are available and want to grow as a woman of God, come join us on a Tuesday morning!
Men’s Fellowship
The PCOG Men’s Fellowship is a developing department in PCOG. Men have a great responsibility in being the priests of their home and as such, PCOG wants to support them in this. The Men’s Fellowship is a way for the men of PCOG to build relationships and support each other as they navigate their way through everyday life and seek to continuously get closer to God. Usher’s Department
The PCOG Usher’s Department is comprised of dedicated individuals that humbly serve our congregation as they enter and leave our spiritual house. We recognise the time and hard work that they put into ensuring that each service runs smoothly.
Communion Stewards
The PCOG Communion Stewards are a group of men that humbly serve the congregation on a monthly basis as we partake of Holy Communion.
Finance Committee
The PCOG Finance Committee oversees all monetary related issues involved with running our church. All committee members have been with PCOG for many years and we honour their commitment to God’s work.
Sinika Uthando
Sinika Uthando is an NGO that was founded by a spiritual daughter of PCOG, Jennifer Chetty. Sinika provides counseling and life coaching for all people. They run various programmes to empower and provide hope to residents of Chatsworth and surrounding areas.
